A 6 week term at Over the Moon Studios
All props EXCEPT mats are provided (blankets, blocks, bolsters, straps, eye pillows).
The Class
45-60 minutes Yin Asana: expect 3-5 min holds supported by appropriate props.
15- 25 minute guided savasana/yoga nidra aka deep rest
Mindfulness meditation is utilised to support and anchor you
The long holds in Yin yoga support the release of your muscles and fascia on a physical level.
Encourages mindful awareness of felt experience in your body during the 3-5 minute ‘wait’. This can be somewhat confronting initially for some new practitioners.
Breath patterns, affirmations (compassionate mindfulness based) and anchors are given to ground you in your session.
All props including mats are provided
Space is limited to 12 Participants
Beginners are welcome
Modifications and alternatives are always available
Yin is beneficial to those who may be looking to reduce stress, recovering from fatigue, live with chronic illness, injured (let’s chat), pregnancy, burnt out, to support mental health in general. A good and excellent practice for most people!
